As part of our support resources for members which range from tangible to intangible, it is our hope to provide instrumental support which encompasses the concrete, direct ways of assisting members. This would involve provision of financial assistance, material goods, or services to members.
In light of this, SMCI has launched her second edition of the “Back to School Drive”, a fundraising drive for children of single parents. This effort is geared towards new session school resumption. Generally speaking, Nigeria still has one of the largest populations of children out of school with over 10 million primary school aged children currently out of school. These children are not learning the skills they need to fully participate in the economy, improve their lives and contribute to Nigeria’s development.
We are currently working towards partnering with various brands to make the Back to School Drive a success. We believe that SMCI will be making a right alignment in partnering with leading and trusted brands in Nigeria because their involvement will help highlight the importance of child education in Nigeria.
